Gifts of EVERSOURCE (formerly WMECO) Electricity Credits from Solar Users
To Benefit the Amherst Survival Center
Thank you for considering a gift of net metering credits to the Amherst Survival Center. Electricity maintains cold storage for our food, heats and cools our facility, runs our dishwasher and computers, and lets participants charge their phones, wash clothes and take hot showers. We were thrilled to receive our first-ever donation of net metering credits from a Center supporter and solar user in May 2015.
As the “Host Customer”, please follow these instructions to donate your credits.
Donors must submit a Schedule Z or net metering application to EVERSOURCE:
Frequently asked questions about filing the Schedule Z can be found here.
Donors indicate what percentage (1-100%) of the credits will go to the Amherst Survival Center. If excess energy is produced by your solar energy system, we’ll see an adjustment on our bill showing that credits have been applied.
Please contact our Finance Controller, Kara Schnell
(413-549-3968 x105 or email@example.com) to let us know that you plan to submit a Schedule Z to EVERSOURCE. Kara will provide you with the Center’s EVERSOURCE account number and service address, information needed for the Schedule Z.
Share your donation with us:
If you would like a tax receipt for your donations, donors will need to share with us the monetary deduction information that appears on your monthly electric bills. Sharing this information also helps to confirm that your records match what we see on our statements and lets us acknowledge and confirm receipt of your gift.
Please contact Kara Schnell for more information on how to be a solar donor for the Center. Kara can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 413.549.3968 ext 105.
Thank you for sharing your net metering credits with the Amherst Survival Center!
