Hike for Hunger

November 1–30, 2020

REGISTER NOW
DONATE NOW TO HIKE FOR HUNGER

Join the Amherst Survival Center for our first virtual Hike for Hunger Challenge! During this time of social distancing, the Hike for Hunger presents an opportunity for you to be outside and active while making sure our community has access to nutritious food. Starting on October 16, you can register for Hike for Hunger, set your personal challenge, and start collecting donations. Come November, head out on the trails wherever and whenever you’d like – with your kids, your friends, or your furry friends – and share your adventures with us.

Proceeds from Hike for Hunger go directly to the COVID-19 Hunger Response Fund at the Amherst Survival Center, making sure everyone in our community has access to nutritious meals, produce, and groceries for their families.

Registration is $25 and includes a Hike for Hunger t-shirt. There is no fundraising minimum, but those who fundraise will be eligible to earn prizes.

How do I participate?

  1. Register today and encourage friends and family to join you. 100% of your registration is tax-deductible and provides meals to our neighbors.
  2. Set your fundraising goal and create your fundraising page using our easy templates. Ask your family, friends, and neighbors to contribute and help you reach your goal.
  3. Hike over the month of November. Set your personal Hike for Hunger Challenge using one of the examples we have provided or one of your own. Whether you hike 4 miles or 40 miles, you’ll be helping to raise awareness and funds for our COVID-19 Hunger Response Fund.
  4. Share your adventures on social media using #Hike4Hunger and tagging @AmherstSurvivalCenter. We’ll also be sharing your pictures and videos on our social media accounts throughout the month!

Registration is $25 and includes a Hike for Hunger t-shirt. There is no fundraising minimum, but those who fundraise will be eligible to earn prizes. This toolkit will guide you through the registration process.

I don’t want to hike, can I just make a donation?

Of course! You can choose to sponsor a hiker (or several!) by clicking here, or you can make a donation at www.amherstsurvival.org/donate.
