Fundraising Events

Throughout the year, we host a few fundraising events inviting the community to celebrate the Center and raise vital funds to support our programs.

Empty Bowls

Join us for this wonderful longstanding tradition! Guests choose a beautiful handcrafted bowl from an abundant selection all made and donated by more than 50 area potters. With their keepsake bowl, attendees enjoy a delicious meal of soup, salad, and bread donated by local restaurants. This is the Amherst Survival Center’s largest annual fundraiser.

Feed the Spirit

Come celebrate the Amherst Survival Center at a beautiful seated dinner, with entertainment, and unique fund-a-need auction at our annual Feed the Spirit event. It is a wonderful and fun evening that raises vital funds for the Center’s programs.

Hike for Hunger Virtual Challenge

In lieu of our in-person Feed the Spirit event, the Amherst Survival Center is launching a virtual month-long Hike for Hunger Challenge from November 1-30. During this time of social distancing, the Hike for Hunger presents an opportunity for you to be outside and active, while making sure our community has access to nutritious food.

You register as an individual, household, or as part of a team. Set your personal Hike for Hunger Challenge goal and invite family, friends, and neighbors to support you in reaching your goal by making a donation. Come November, head out on the trails wherever and whenever you’d like – with your kids, your friends, or your furry friends.

Money raised from Hike for Hunger will go directly to the Amherst Survival Center’s COVID-19 Hunger Response Fund, making sure everyone in our community has access to nutritious meals, produce, and groceries for their families.
