You can hold a diaper drive .…
in your workplace, your school, your place of worship, your organization! Look on our webpage about diaper need and feel free to use any of the downloadable materials there or on this page. The Food Pantry distributes diapers to families with babies, and the distribution is equivalent to the Pantry’s food allocation. Currently, the Pantry can always use diapers sizes 4, 5, and 6, and diaper wipes. Feel free to reach out to the Pantry Coordinator to access more information.
As of May 11, 2015, the Amherst Area has donated close to 44,000 diapers to the Amherst Area Diaper Drive (held from February 14 thru April 6, 2015), far surpassing our goal of 18,000!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Drive and to the businesses and organizations who acted as drop-off locations (see below).
United Way Hampshire County Diaper Drive
The United Way of Hampshire County also organized a county-wide diaper drive August 17-September 16, 2015. As a result of this very successful drive, the United Way distributed diapers to the Center’s food pantry!
They are planning a 2nd Annual Diaper Drive from July 16-August 13, 2016. You can find out more about this local effort here.
We love their logo!
