In partnership and with the wonderful assistance and guidance from the BagShare Project, the Amherst Survival Center enlists volunteers to make reusable no-sew bags to be used by the Center’s Community Store shoppers.
Amherst Survival Center staff worked with folks from the Bagshare Project to modify their no-sew bag, with innovative folding and grommeting, for the Center’s Community Store. Made from malt bags and leftover agricultural tape (for handles), groups of volunteers have made hundreds of bags for the Center’s visitors and continue to do so during bag-making sessions held in the Center on scheduled Wednesdays.
If your group is interested in making bags for the Center, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
