CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
Donations of clothing and household goods are accepted on Monday, Tuesday and Friday 11 am-3 pm and Thursday 11am-7 pm at 138 Sunderland Road, North Amherst.

Gently used seasonal clothing and shoes, children’s goods, books (no textbooks or magazines, please), linens and housewares are welcome. Warm clothes and bedding are especially needed in October through March! Please ask us for a tax-deductible receipt.  A chart of the value of donated goods is at the Salvation Army’s site.
We collect gently used furniture between April and August – by appointment only. We cannot accept furniture dropped off at the Survival Center. Most of the furniture we collect is saved for our Trash to Treasures Furniture Sale, held the weekend after Labor Day. If you have items that you are considering donating, please call 413-594-3968 x 252 or e-mail furniture@amherstsurvival.org to arrange for pick up (for a small fee) or drop-off.

FOOD DONATIONS

Non-perishable food is always needed and welcomed in our Emergency Food Pantry.  Feel free to come by with any non-perishable items during our open hours or by special arrangement.  We appreciate everything, but often need peanut butter, soup, tuna, jelly, cereal, side dishes, tomato products and beans.

Please let us know if you’re organizing (or would like to organize) a Food Drive!  Contact Shelly, Pantry Coordinator (x104) or shelly@amherstsurvival.org.   We can give you a list of needed items and we can put it on our calendar (so we can plan for it).  THANK YOU!

Prepared and/or perishable food is often welcome in our Kitchen. It’s best if you let us know it’s coming. Contact Linda, Kitchen Coordinator, (x103) or brooks@amherstsurvival.org .
