Directions
There are several ways to get to the Amherst Survival Center at 138 Sunderland Road, North Amherst.
The routes most people take are:
By bus:
Take Bus #31 toward Sunderland. Get off the bus at the House of Teriyaki/North Amherst Center. Walk one half mile north (toward Sunderland) until you see our new green building on the left, across from Cowls.
From the south on Rte 116:
At the light/intersection, turn onto Rte 63/Meadow Street. In .4 miles, you will get to another traffic light. Make a left turn and bear left at the fork. Continue one half mile north (toward Sunderland) until you see our new green building on the left, across from Cowls.
From the north on Rte 116:
Turn left on Sunderland Road, just past the Amherst town line. Our new green building is on the right, about a half mile down the road.
From Downtown Amherst, through UMass Campus:
From Downtown Amherst/North Pleasant Street, make a left at the light by Bertucci’s, which will keep you on North Pleasant Street. Go .5 miles and the lights, make a right (you will still be on North Pleasant Street). Go 1.8 miles straight through campus (and several sets of lights and many crosswalks). You will reach the North Amherst intersection (House of Teriyaki will be on your right). Go straight through the set of lights and bear left at the fork. Continue one half mile north (toward Sunderland) until you see our new green building on the left, across from Cowls.
From Downtown Amherst – avoiding UMass:
From North Pleasant Street, continue straight at the light by Bertucci’s (you are now on East Pleasant Street). Go 1.2 miles until the street ends at a stop sign. Make a left onto Pine Street. Continue for .9 miles. You will get to North Amherst Center’s intersection/traffic light. Turn right, and then bear left at the fork. Continue one half mile north (toward Sunderland) until you see our new green building on the left, across from Cowls.
